Dr. Weng, creator of the Essence of Practical Tai-Chi Volumes 1 & 2, has combined the ancient Tai-chi movements and principles with modern aerobic fitness methods to create Cardio Tai-Chi, a new holistic approach to overall fitness. The sequence of movements covered in the Cardio Tai-Chi routine, is based on a simple story about the “Tai-chi Bird” that is easy to follow and offers enough variety to keep viewers interested. The routine has been designed with the busy viewer in mind to provide a well-rounded, challenging aerobic workout in a relatively short space of time (approximately 30 minutes) that also teaches fundamental Tai-chi movements. Additional material on the self-defense applications of the movements is also included.
